I started my internship with OHSU Sports Medicine on Monday. I work with Dr. Jim Chesnutt, an OHSU faculty and medical director of OHSU Sports Medicine. I work at the Center for Health and Healing which is right at the bottom of this cool aerial tram.
On my first day I had to go up to the hill to get some of the administrative stuff out of the way. I got an official badge, so now I'm bona fide. I get to ride the tram all I want with the badge! I had never ridden it before and it was definitely a lot of fun. There was a great view and it felt like a roller coaster but it just didn't go as fast. My first week I observed Dr. Chesnutt in clinic, along with a couple other med school students who were really nice. Everyone I have come in contact with has been really nice and helpful. I was really nervous before I started but I quickly felt at ease. I feel way out of my league because these med school students are asking me what year I'm in and I'm like, uhh I'm an undergrad. Actually I'm glad to know that I have actually learned a lot in school and a lot of what they say and do I am familiar with. During my internship I will have the opportunity to work with many members of the OHSU sports medicine team, so I'm pretty excited. As you can see OHSU is pretty dang sweet and it's my dream to go to medical school here. (Aubrey is still coping with the idea but I know she will come around:)

The Center for Health and Healing. The tram drops you off right by here. Apparently it's a very green building too, wouldn't have it any other way in Portland.
